Description

We are a registered Non Profit Organization based in a rural village in the Eastern Cape of South Africa where illiteracy is at its worst.

Volunteers implement our English one-on-one reading programme with students aged 6 ? 9 years old in the mornings and teach English to students aged 9 to 13 years old for an hour in the afternoons.

A TEFL / TESOL certificate is not essential. Minimum age is 20 years old.

A minimum stay is 2 weeks but preferably one school term of 6 - 8 weeks.

We offer shared accommodation, 3 full home cooked meals a day, trips to the beach and a cultural exchange.

As we are a charity we charge R700 Rand per week. We cannot cater for vegetarians or volunteers with food allergies or preferences.

Contact us if you want to do community work while gaining teaching experience. You can be effective in making a lasting difference to someone?s life and build your memories to last a lifetime.
