About the school

Admiral Farragut Academy is a college preparatory, military-style school, founded in 1933 and named after Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, the first U.S. Naval officer to rise to that rank. The school campus is located in the shores of Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida. The combination of invaluable academic and life lessons learned at Farragut creates what their alumni call “The Farragut Experience”. They prepare graduates to be critical thinkers ready to succeed, even in careers that do not currently exist. To that end, Farragut has graduated two of the twelve moonwalking astronauts.
