Description

DaDa is a Chinese online education platform that offers American and British elementary education experiences to Chinese students aged 4–16. The company hires English Language instructors to give 25-minute, 1 by 1 online, fully immersive lessons delivered via the company's learning platform and based on U.S. Common Core State Standards. The process adheres to a flipped classroom model, entailing a pre-class video that introduces key learning points, interactive 1 to 1 instruction that reinforces learning objectives, and follow-up, post-class homework.

Job Requirements

  1. Native English Speaker from UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand.

  2. Hold a BA degree or above

  3. Teaching certification is required (TESOL/TEFL/CELTA/PGCE/Local teaching certificate/ etc.)

  4. Stable and strong internet connection

  5. At least 1-year teaching experience

  6. Non-criminal background check

Incentives/Bonusess

FAQ

Can I apply if I don't have a Bachelor‘s degree?

Our parents are very strict on teachers’ education level, therefore DaDa requires applicants to have at least a Bachelor’s degree. We cannot make exceptions to applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s degree, while we have promised customers the standard of our teaching service. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applicants without a Bachelor’s degree.

What kind of requirements does DaDa needDaDa recruitment team has criteria to ensure

DaDa delivers high teaching quality. Some of the basic requirements we prefer teachers to have are:

  • Teaching certificate (TEFL/TESOL/CELTA, etc.)

  • Proof documents for teaching experiences.

  • Supporting documents of non-criminal background check.

What equipment do I need?

  • A computer with a webcam (HD webcam preferred).

  • A headset with a microphone.

  • Stable Internet connection (wired connection preferred).

Why is the interview so important?

The interview is very important as it, along with your qualifications, decides whether or not you will be accepted to work with DaDa and it will determine your salary.

What are must-dos to be successful at the DaDa interview?

  • Practice the Mock Class slides.

  • Teach from a place with good background and lighting.

  • Good internet connection (wired connection preferred).

  • A headset with microphone and a webcam (HD webcam preferred).

How many students do I teach in each class?

All DaDa classes are 1 by 1 to ensure we meet 100% of each student’s needs.

When and how will teachers be paid?

Teachers’ pay will be sent on the 15th of each month via direct bank deposits (or other transfer ways). Please pay attention that overseas bank transfers normally take 2-5 business days.

What kinds of bonuses do teachers have?

  • Trial class conversion bonus: $7 per student.

  • Step bonus: Up to 7 USD per hour.

  • Other bonuses: Cancellation subsidy; Teacher Referral bonus etc.

How long is the agreement?

DaDa doesn’t have any limits for agreement length, in other words, it all depends on how you prefer, but we will suggest you have at least a consistent 6-month teaching schedule because it helps you to build a strong relationship with your students.

Can teachers take breaks during the agreement?

  • Please apply for the short-term leaves 24-hour in advance.

  • Please apply for the long-term leaves 15 days in advance.
