Online ESL Teacher for OiKID

OiKID is looking for teachers that are not only skilled and creative when it comes to teaching, but also passionate and patient individuals who love interacting and encouraging children.

Our students range between the ages of 3 to 15, and are based mainly in Taiwan and China. We have our own in-house designed platform, as well as our own in-house designed materials and curriculum, created by teachers from the US and the UK. We have 1-on-1 and 1-on-many class, with 25 minute long sessions, which also include interactive and fun activity pages. 1-on-many includes small group class and live class.

Contract term

• OiKID offers 4-6 dollars per class, and each class is 25 minutes. The first 3 lessons are probation. There is no deadline for the contract, and we expect a long-term partnership with teachers to expand our business scope.

• The ability to express your creative teaching talents. We also provide OiKID tools and materials.​

• An opportunity to teach, using our innovative and interactive teaching platform, created in-house, with in-house materials and curriculums designed by consultants from the USA and the UK.​

Equipment

• Device - Desktop, Laptop, MAC, Surface​

• Desktop with webcam

• ​Headset - Use a headset with a microphone, stable output and input

• Stable internet connection and a quiet environment.

How long is the contract for?

There is no deadline for the contract. We expect a long-term partnership with teachers. We will not terminate your contract unless you ask for it, or any other reasons such as too many late arrivals, say inappropriate words during the class, indecent behavior during the class, no-show 3 times without prior notification, etc.

Do I need to prepare teaching materials?

No, OiKID curriculum team has already designed materials for every class. However, teachers must prepare for class by reviewing the class materials beforehand. Teachers are more than welcome to prepare their own teaching materials related to the course.

Students can book the teachers they want on the website.
Working days and hours: We have classes from 9am-9pm BJT every day. The peak hours are 6-9pm during weekdays and all day during weekends.

OiKID, (pronounced: O-I-Kid), which means “I love kids,” when spoken out loud in Chinese, is an online English teaching platform founded in 2016, in Taipei, Taiwan.
