Requirements

• Speaks English at an idiomatic level

• Legally allowed to work in the US or Canada

• Degree holder, bachelors or above

• TESOL (internationally recognized) / TEFL (internatinally recognized) / CELTA /DELTA / Teaching Credential (issued by state)

• K-12 ESL experience, online experience is preferable

• Can teach students regularly for a long term

Equipment

A desktop, laptop, Mac, or Surface device with a camera and a headset with a microphone. The device must have a minimum operating system of Windows 7 or macOS 10.10, a memory of at least 4GB RAM, and a stable internet connection (Ethernet recommended) of at least 20 Mbps.

Payment

• Pay rate per hour USD 16-24

• Teachers are paid through direct bank deposits. Current month's payment will be transferred no later than the 10th of the following month.

• Teachers will have a chance to get base pay adjustment every 2 contracts.

• ZebraEnglish signs 6-month contracts with applicants who pass the whole interview process.

Bookings

• How long is each class? - Each class needs to be 25minutes in length. However, each time slot is 30 minutes long. It gives you a 5-minute buffer just in case the student is late and allows you enough time to head into the following student's classroom (if you have classes back to back).

• The peak time for teaching is 6:00pm - 8:30pm Beijing Time on weekdays and 8:30am - 8:30pm Beijing Time on weekends
